In past years Master Remodelers brought home 11 awards in this annual competition among regional contractors. On Friday evening December 6th we added another two: for a Sewickley master bath and for a riverside cottage on the Allegheny River. What a great way to start the Christmas holiday—getting an early gift that was on our 2013 wish list!—and a great ending to a good year for the company. Find out more about our two new award-winning projects.
Over the years Master Remodelers has been blessed to win 11 awards in this competition sponsored by Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. This year we’re hoping to win at least one more, bringing our total awards to 25 during our 25th Anniversary year in 2013.
We’ve submitted 2 very different remodeling entries this year, one in Sewickley and one on the Allegheny River 2 hours north of Pittsburgh.
This client enjoys relaxing at their second home on the Allegheny River on weekends, often with their children and grandchildren. Originally a “manufactured” home assembled here in 1995, it arrived in two sections and was joined to a foundation. The family’s remodeling goal with Master Remodelers was to modernize and expand the living spaces.
With photos of his own award-winning home illustrating the story, Regis says “Good design is not a one-size-fits-all thing.”
A favorite service we like to incorporate into home remodeling projects is making homes more energy efficient. This is part of our Sustainability offering that helps to define The Master Remodelers Difference.
While we’ve received lots of testimonials from our Pittsburgh remodeling clients over the years, here are two recent ones from satisfied customers, touting the differences they’re seeing and feeling in their homes.
It now features a new kitchen and 900 sq. ft. family room addition, plus state-of-the-art green systems, making it an ENERGY STAR Certified Home.

In their March issue, Qualified Remodeler magazine published the results of a readers poll that included both contractors and homeowners. We’ll share some of the results with you here.
But first, take a look at our 11 pro certifications, plus our professional memberships. In this blog post we’ll also share what we did in May to maintain our certifications with continuing education credits.
